South Bend, Ind. (March 5, 2024) – The 1st Source Bank ribbon cutting event on Thursday, February 29th was a great success. With over 50 people in attendance, it was the Thursday event to be at in Niles, Michigan. Emcees Jeff Rea and Mark McGill represented the Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce in kicking things off to showcase the new Niles location. From there, Shelli Alexander, Regional President and Kellen Van Hulle, Regional Sales Manager at 1st Source Bank welcomed guests and talked of 1st Source’s longstanding support of the Niles community. A check was presented to Luvability Ministries, a local non-profit organization that provides services to adults and teens with intellectual disabilities to commemorate the evening.
“Every bank has a checking account available, they’ve got CDs,” said Sheila Koebel from Underground Laugh Lounge, a business client of the bank. “1st Source Bank has got customer service that is second to none and it’s been a pleasure. I love working with them. They give us money,” she added, garnering laughs from the room.
“The thing that I love about working for 1st Source,” said Van Hulle, “is the full-service team of experts that we have available to serve our clients. They are a caring, compassionate crew who believe in making the Southwest Michigan community a wonderful place to live and raise their families.”

He invests in his community by serving on the Village of Edwardsburg Board and The Edwardsburg Ontwa Township Police board.
