The hiring process gives you an opportunity to learn about 1st Source and ask questions about the position, our culture and what it is like to work here.

1st Source uses a variety of methods to identify and hire top talent. This overview will explain our most common process from start to finish.

Find a Position of Interest

  • We invite you to view our current openings to look for positions that interest you and for which you have the required skills.

Receive an Acknowledgement

  • You will receive a letter or email from 1st Source acknowledging your application.

Initial Screening

  • Your application will be reviewed to determine if your skills and experience meet the requirements of the position.
  • Candidates who most closely meet the job qualifications will be invited to continue the interview process.

The Interview

  • If you are invited for an interview, we will provide additional information regarding the time and place, the number of interviews, and how they are conducted based on the position.
  • Most positions require you to complete an assessment that helps ensure your fit for a specific position. You will be notified if the position you are interested in requires an assessment.
  • If an external candidate is selected for further consideration, pre-employment screenings and employment verifications will be completed. Based on the specific position, additional screenings may be required.
  • Human Resources reviews the results of the screenings to determine employment eligibility.

Offer of Employment

  • The position is offered to the candidate who:
    • most closely meets the qualifications of the position
    • meets eligibility requirements for employment
  • You will be notified of our decision by phone or mail.

Applications Kept on File

  • Applications are active for 90 days, and all applicants may continue to apply for other positions.
  • After 90 days new applications will need to be completed to be considered for other opportunities.
